people this is such less amount, ready to pay so much money for renewing visas etc, but you can't sign up for 20 or 50 every month. This is really becoming like begging..I do understand everyone has family commitment and other financial need but $20/month is not too much !!
Step up and show we're united and can resolve this, if not time contribute financially,

Retrogression in Various Steps of the GC process
While January 2005 was the first time since July 2001 there was retrogression for the EB-3 category (01/01/02 for both China and India), the US continues to maintain protectionism through their immigration system.
Retrogression in Labor Certification: Between 2002 and 2005, there was severe retrogression as far as labor certifications were concerned. Then came the PERM in March 2005 and for a couple of years, they boasted labor certification with 3 to 6 months time. Of late I think it is taking more than 6 months for LC approvals even through PERM.
Retrogression in I-140 Approvals: I do not remember when the USCIS suspended the premium processing for I-140 but even before they did that, they managed protectionism by delaying the approval of I-140. As per some one's posting, it is now taking 14 months for an I-140 approval.
Retrogression of I-485 Approvals: Post July 2007 VB, even a 1st year engineering student from India, studying the American immigration system, can tell you it could take years (not the current 6-9 months processing time) for approval of I-485s. The delay in approving an I-485 petition is not subject to the the July 2007 Visa Bulletin alone, it cannot also escape 'protectionism-tainted' FBI name check delay.
I may sound like quite a pessimist, but add to all this the possible denials for PLC (permanent labor certification), I-140, EAD, AP & I-485s.
My $0.02 - IE
Very Good Presentation.

When every one send individual letter, they will read the first one and then will just ignore others. Because the content and issue is same. When we 50+ people send one neatly drafted letter...I am sure it will draw considerable attention. Ron is willing to help us. I am not sure if we need to hire him for this. If so, how many of you ready to share the expense.

Please feel free to send me a PM, whoever is in my situation. You are right we can have more effect if we work together. Certainly not got much done on my own during the past couple of years. Just keep getting standard letters from senators and congressman.
Sure, I will.
Any one in this forum in the same situation please come forward.

Does it mean that now if the denial is appealed by my attorney, then my case will go to some Backlog Processing Center, or it'll still stay with Atlanta National Processing Center?

Dear All,
The idea about the oath is good. Most of us do great, creative things at work and earn the appreciation of our peers and seniors. Why not we brainstorm now, come with creative ideas to help ourselves?
Let us be open all new ideas. No idea is stupid!
Personally I would think of a mass satyaghraha but not sure now many will like it. It is a peaceful and well tried Gandian method to highlight our plight
GOD bless the EB community!

Glad, you took pain to check and see all bulletins. Can you see India in 2003 bulletins? India was simple dispappeared from 2003 bulletins. It was no more "OverSubscribed" country as per INS. In reality in background Eb3 India was hold and almost all the year treated like step child by INS. EB2 India was doing good throughout 2003. Since bulletins kicked India out how can you know then? Mymajor source of information as usual was murthy.com and immigration.com. I vaguely remember murthy came up with one or two warning articles about "administrative" hold on Eb3 processing and severe future Eb3 retrogressions then.

Don’t blame non-contributing members too much. They are also frustrated with the retrogression and wish for a relief. $20/mon is not a big deal for most high skilled professionals. But what if someone didn’t get the message? What if someone doesn’t have a paypal account? There should be some other ways for people to pledge the money and make sure it will be used wisely. I guess the right strategy is how to reach more people with the correct information. Honestly speaking, I don’t know how many of 8400 really got this message.
If there are 200 online users and IV already got 128 contributing members, the percentage looks pretty amazing to me. There will be more, of course, when they get to know this and come to the website, read and understand that they have a chance and also a responsibility to help themselves by doing this.

I apologize for this mistake to everyone .....I changed the header to reflect my error.

I may be completely wrong but this is what I see on thomas.loc.gov
Appended to the Minimum wage bill was SA187 which amends SA112 sponsored by John Kerry and consponsored by Sununu, Snowe, Landrieu and Lieberman.
Senate Amendment SA 187 seems to have passed with unanimous consent. This is what it apparently contains among a lot of other stuff... Please correct me if I am wrong.

If you read closely, it appears like the 290,000 immigrant visas would be true for years from now on and for years 2001-2005 (the diffrence between current limit and this section). If that's the case and if that becomes a law, there is possibility there will be no backlog after that for some time...short time probably. Please correct me if I am wrongly reading this section. But for me, it appears it applies retroactively and will add the diffrence (150k a year) between years 2001-2005. If my calculation and understanding is correct, once this act becomes a law, the first year there would be 290k + 600k from years 2001-2005 ......I am not sure if my understanding is correct. I prey it is..
