My LC was stuck in backlog centers when perm labor applications was being approved left, right and centre�

Thanks Appas.. I sent an email to ombudsman on tueday and got a response on wednesday with the message. I also attached DS701 form, copy of I140 approved notice, I485 receipt notice.

Unfortunately the Timing of IV Advocacy day, and also May 2011 VB schedule at a wrong date. If the Govt Shutdown due to the budget deadlock, I'm not sure how both of these days will play out. Any Idea guys. :confused:

Lawyer sent an email on 8/3. I opened SR on 8/9. Not sure which one worked.

I am a silent visitor of this website.
Just my 2 cents... Don't think USA is like India where you can do something forcefully. Why don't you guys understand the real problem of USCIS.
Do you think that by sending flower to USCIS will force them to make EB2/EB3 current for 2005/2006/2007 guys??
Please try to understand their problem.
Also India is the great. Why don't you guys just think that India is your home country where you are born and brought up. Why you people can't just wait and watch?? If nothing happens to the so called GC, then why don't you think to pack up and go back to India???????
My sincere request, please don't do rally, you might be arrested......you never know what they can do..... Don't you think that, it is better to go back to India rather than being embarrassed here in US???

Rest assured, everyone here is equally proud of his/her motherland.
And please... don't irritate USCIS? You can never irritate someone. Someone gets irritated at you because they have a problem with what you do-- even if you peacefully protest or send flowers-- both being perfectly legal acts, don't you agree?

The final option 4 that you press is correct. Sometimes you can get an IIO that is not happy to give status info (and it is a good idea that the status word is not mentioned by the caller...it kind of hurts their ego! for the reason below)
Remember reaching the Service Center directly (thro this "POJ" method) puts you in touch with not a CSR but an actual Immigration Information Officer (these at the Service Centers are positions that are rotated, they usually also do simple cases at other times like I-765, I-131 etc.) They have full access to all databases and systems that a Adjudication Officer handling you file has, unlike the regular contractor non-POJ CSR's.

You guys need to learn the basic rules of EB visa allocation
1) All EB categories need to worry about current backlog. EB3 India only need to worry about current backlog and future backlog. If more people file visa in 2 years, EB3-India will be in hot soup.
2) Eb3 India is at the bottom of the food chain. It will get visa only after every other category is current.
EB3 I getting spill over numbers depends on many factors. If atleast one factor goes wrong then EB3I will be in soup again.
When dates become current lots of people with approved 140 will file 485 and do you know who will be affected most? EB3 India
When you do your calculation add this on top of your equation.

My 485/EAD/AP application was filed last month at NSC and the recipt date is 04/19/2007. First time when you apply for EAD at NSC how much time it will take approximately to get the EAD approval?
