Called up all California Congressmen and requested their support.
Got a patient ear on the other side from all whom I called-hope they really convey the message to the Congressman/congresswoman and hope they are flooded with calls to support the bill.
Will try and call others as well today.

My immigration doctor told me that if i had chickenpox in childhood i do not need the varicella vaccine? Which i did at age 5. Please, let me know if anyone else was told the same , i will be going back to him on Wednesday for the physical exam. I don't want to get a RFE on that.
If you had chickenpox in childhood, you have to show a letter. you no need to take varicella Vaccine. But my situation I had chikenpox in childhood, when i went to immigraiton doctor , i dint tell that i had chickenpox in childhood. Doctor told me to take Varicella Vaccine. I took that one.

On FEb 4th my wife and myself went for H1-B visa renewal interview at Chennai Consulate. Both visas got approved. My wife passport was returned with in 3 days. It seems they have found her petitition online. My passport stuck with consulate. I called consulate today, and they have asked me to call back next week end. She said they were not able to locate my petition online.
How long it can take? 1 week or 2 weeks or 1 month? Please provide your experiences for those passports took more than 3 days. I have seen max 1 month in the forum.

All the IV admin members and coordinators are really busy with the advocacy days at DC.
You might have to wait for a few more days to be given access.

I agree. Other non-useful threads are more active than this.
I am surprised that all other threads are getting updated quite frequently. People are posting question related to their RFE and as usual once they get answer to their problems, they vanish. People are posting jokes on IV, but when it is their turn to call, we've to "bump" this thread and send e-mails to members. So pathetic.
I felt very sad when I read 30000+ members donated some 4000 dollars in last two months. I felt my donation of about 1000 dollars since 2006 is being wasted to answer questions of or to solve the problems of these free riders &/or one question members.

Will EB-2 India will advance "substantially" in May?
There are 18,000 persons with EB-2 priority dates in 2006 who are waiting for green cards, 13,000 of them from India.
Given the 7% country quota, we expect the India EB-2 to move forward in May between 2 weeks and 2 months.
* This is seems to be completely different from what they claimed "substantial" before.....:confused:
And their news page has also changed to reflect this "modest" movement (previously it stated - "the movement will not be weeks or months but could be years")
On both extremes, it's nothing but just an attempt to generate traffic to the website I guess.
Interesting that he claims - the modest movement will be because of the 7% country cap. In my understanding, it does not apply when spiilover happens (plz correct me if I am wrong)

Did any one send a streamline email to NSC and did any get a better response then the "automatic script" response that you get from NSC?

And to make matters worse, this jerk married a Mexican woman. He is alway behind Mexico and Mexicans for some reason. Imagine that, he lives in NJ, has a several acre house, makes 7/8 figure salary and then teaches American middle class a lesson to avoid goods produced in China/Mexico/India. Avoid them because they add up to trade deficit of USA, avoid them because those countries have stolen jobs from middle class Americans. Why doesn't Lou Dobbs stop using software written by some Indian/Chinesse guy? Why doesn't he stop eating at a place where in the kitchen a Mexican guy is making his meal? why doesn't he stop using Japnesse cars? Why doesn't he quit eating Pizza....afterall it is Italian food? Why doesn't he stop driving on interstate highways...part of those were made by African Americans. I am asking Lou Dobbs to show me his grand father's VISA/I-94 when he came to the USA, on a ship, half starved, half naked from some european country and never went back! This guy blames mexicans/legal or immigrations for this country's broken health care system. Other day, he was concerned that in California, especially L.A. and surrounding area, white people's percentage has gone below 50%, Mexicans and Indians are having too many kids, whites are not having enough kids.........this is by far the most racist program CNN runs and we need to do something to put a stop on it.

I don't know what do you mean by success. as far as media coverage is concerned, Fireign media (India, China or elsewhere) doesn't help. It's local media, which can create some usefull awareness. How does awareness in a different country helps?? I don't know why even people talking coverage about foreig media?????

Point is.. don't get too excited for having done nothing... Do something substantial and keep doing.

Don't you have to file Advanced Parole for your husband or can he travel just on EAD?
No one can travel on EAD. EAD is for employment authorization. AP is for travel. You cant mix and match the purpose of them.
If you dont need to travel or if you have a valid H1 stamp for travel, dont file for AP. If you want to travel and if your stamp has expired and dont want to apply for new stamp, then file for AP.
If you want to work for your employer and continue there and if you are sure of your job security, then you dont need EAD, and dont apply for EAD. However its a good idea since EAD is a great option of you are suddenly fired or laid off. EAD makes it easy to search for jobs coz the employer doesnt have to file your H1 and you can join them immediately without any hassles.

US court already clearly given vertict to BS+5 years alone itsef qualify for EB2. It was a major ruling against INS.
US educated (or holding master degree) is no way superior than holding BS+5 years experience if job requires more experience . Similarly BS+5 years is no way superior than MS, if job requires absolutly Masters degree (like research).. So dont compare each other, as each has its own merits. Education and experience cannot replace each other.
However, One can send a petition to DOL/USCIS to deny the second LC/140 application if an employer files two LC/I-140 for a single person (same employer -same beneficiary) for a similar kind of job, just to help the employee to line jump from EB3 to EB2. This may work to stop abusing the system.
