Co-stars: Tyrese Gibson posted this picture of him and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on Twitter on the set of Transformers 3

It must be daunting joining a film franchise as successful as Transformers.

But Rosie Huntington-Whiteley seems to be settling in well - judging by the picture co-star Tyrese Gibson posted on his Twitter page.

Tyrese, who plays Robert Epps in the upcoming Transformers 3, tweeted fans: 'Me & Rosie working hard!! She's a sweet one!!'

British lingerie model Rosie was signed up to star in what is thought to be the final installment in the film series after Megan Fox decided to opt out of the third movie.

And while the 23-year-old star is proving a success among her co-stars, producer Lorenzo de Bonaventura said her arrival, and Megan's departure, on the franchise did cause some problems.

He said: 'Definitely some script changes for sure. I wouldn't say a tremendous number, but absolutely there were some changes.

'And I think as we're going along, we're discovering new ones we have to make as a result of them.'

Disaster: A car is covered by debris on the set of the film in Chicago

Destruction: Things don't look too good for Sam Witwicky, judging by these pictures

Rosie will star alongside Shia LaBeouf, who will reprise his role as lead character Sam Witwicky, in Transformers 3, due for release in 2011.

The film is the follow-up to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and will be filmed in 3D.

The sci-fi action movie franchise is a hugely-successful reboot of the much-loved Eighties kids' cartoon.

New transformers? There were some smart looking sports cars on set as well

And fans who are eager to predict some of the most exciting action scenes of the new film will be keen to see the shots of the film set from Chicago yesterday.

Disaster and demolition seemed to be on the menu on the set, with cars being crushed under buildings and dust and debris covering the streets

But while fans may be concerned by the armageddon-style set, others will no doubt be delighted to see the inclusion of several smart looking sports cars, as well as the reappearance of the heroic Optimus Prime.
